Maidenhead United will host the first of their ‘Thinking Business’ events at their home game with Salisbury on Tuesday evening (February 24).
The first of these events had been due to take place on January 27, but the match with AFC Totton was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. That event has now been rescheduled for the Magpies’ home game with Ebbsfleet United on Tuesday, March 17.
Tickets are still available for both, and the events have been sponsored by Wilson Partners.
Tickets are £60 per person plus VAT and that includes a three-course meal and reserved seating in the main stand for the games against Salisbury and Ebbsfleet.
At half-time, there is an opportunity to enjoy hot and cold refreshments and sweet treats.
The Thinking Business events are essentially a networking opportunity for local business and entrepreneurs with the idea that attendees can get together while watching top quality football and share information and discuss opportunities to work more collaboratively.

The sponsors Wilson Partners are proudly committed to championing sport in Maidenhead. They currently sponsor both Maidenhead United and Maidenhead RFC. They are business development partners of the football club and sponsor the Maidenhead United in the Community Kit. They hope these events will bring together similarly minded people to connect and inspire each other.
Allan Wilson, managing director of Wilson Partners, said: “We’ve always believed that business is built on relationships and our ‘Thinking Business’ events bring people from the local business community together to have great conversations, share ideas and learn from each other.
"It’s a great setting, it’s local, and it reflects what we’re about as a firm. Finishing the evening by watching the match together adds to that sense of community."
"It’s business networking, but done properly, relaxed, enjoyable and genuinely valuable.”
The evening starts with a three-course dinner with wine in the Alan Devonshire Hospitality Suite at York Road before attendees move to a reserved area in the main stand to watch the action unfold, with the Magpies chasing their goal of promotion this season.
One recent attendee of the networking event said: “This is one of my favourite networking events as it’s so relaxed and after a catch-up with some local business folk, a good meal, and a couple of refreshments we get to watch some sport! What’s not to love?”
The schedule for the evening is as follows:
6:00pm – Arrival
6:30pm – Sit down and welcome
6.45pm – Dinner
7.05pm – Q&A pre match questions with our Assistant Manager
7.45pm – Kick off
