I AM lucky enough to have a son at the Denning Montessori School in Fawley, and not a moment goes by when I am not encouraged and impressed by his level of learning and the care and attention from the exceptional staff at the school.
The School’s motto of “Mighty oaks from little acorns grow” is apparent as soon as you enter the classroom, and this ethos has been consistently shown by Principal Jenny Blain in educating local children for nearly 25 years.
The children at Denning take part in varied activities such as dance and French lessons and weekly Forest School sessions, where they engage and learn about the natural world around them — something I feel is so important in an age dominated by technology.
The staff are kind, nurturing and experienced, with each child being treated as a valued and important individual. I have seen growth and learning encouraged in an organic and exciting way and witnessed the huge impact it has made in these formative years.
All stages of the Early Years Foundation Stages are covered and his learning has really been tailored to his own interests and development. Since joining at two he has blossomed, and I feel totally confident that my son is going to progress to his next school with an excellent grounding.
The benefit of early bird and optional sessions from 8.30am until 4pm is really convenient for many parents as well as the inclusion of free entitlement to pupils.
