I WOULD like to put my dog Bertie forward for Henley’s Top Dog.

I lost my English bull terrier in February last year and was totally heartbroken, so in the June we decided to get a little pup.

I was besotted from day one as my oxytocin levels flowed. Bertie has mended my broken heart and makes me laugh and smile every day.

He’s a sociable boy and has made many friends. He has that gift of making everyone smile.
