THE Stonor family welcome you to visit their ancient home and park - close to Henley and nestled in a Chiltern Valley, dominating a magnificent view of the beautiful deer park.
You can walk along the public footpath - the Shakespeare Way - through the woodland looking down on the house and gardens.
This Easter the doors open to the manor house. Stroll through and discover family treasure and art collected from across the globe. View historic maps, documents and artefacts that reveal generations of service to the country.
Highlights include the grand Gothic revival hall, atmospheric 17th century library and dramatic long gallery opening on to the beautiful Italianate gardens, with borders full of seasonal flowers and stunning lily ponds.
We start our season with a traditional family Easter egg hunt, closely followed on the May bank holiday weekend of April 30 to May 2 by the tulip and spring flower festival and the antique, vintage car boot fair on Sunday, May 29. Stonor is open from March 27 to September 25 - on all Sundays and bank holiday Mondays during the season, on Wednesdays from June to September, on Thursdays from June to August, and each Saturday in August.
