Police confirm death of man who collapsed at Cippenham park

Body found in River Thames near Wraysbury believed to be missing man

Thames Valley Police has confirmed that a man died after collapsing at a park in Cippenham on Thursday.

Emergency services were called to Mercian Way Recreation Ground at about 11am following reports a man had collapsed.

Medical treatment was provided but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokesperson for Thames Police said the victim’s family have been informed and the force’s thoughts are with them at this difficult time.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the Berkshire coroner.
