Police hunt for suspects in Langley attempted burglary investigation

Thames Valley Police has asked for help from the public as the force investigates an attempted burglary in Langley.

Two men tried to break into a house in Market Lane through a kitchen window and by breaking a glass panel by the home’s front door, at around 7.08pm on Saturday (July 19).

The pair fled after being spotted and police believe they made their getaway in a black BMW driven by another man. Police said nothing was stolen and no one was injured.

A witness appeal has been launched with police asking for anyone who might have information on the attempted burglary to contact them.

The first offender was wearing a light blue jacket, black baseball cap, with a light grey snood covering most of his face, and a black backpack on his back.

The second was wearing a dark coloured jacket with a North Face logo on the back, a black baseball cap, and a snood also covering most of his face.

Both offenders were wearing gloves.

Detective constable Lauren Rose, from Thames Valley Police’s Priority Crime Team, said:

“I am appealing to anybody who witnessed any suspicious activity or the burglary itself to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.

“If you were driving in the area between these times, I would ask you to check dash-cams and get in touch if it has captured anything that may assist this investigation.

“Likewise, if you have CCTV or door-bell cameras, please check footage and contact us if you have anything that may assist us.
