PERSONNEL from RAF Benson are undertaking final combat training in Scotland.

They have been deployed to RAF Leuchars in Fife for Exercise Kukri Dawn, a final assessment designed to test the skills of pilots and crewmen from 28 (Army
Co-operation) Squadron before they join operational units.

Working alongside engineers from 33 Squadron, the trainees will be pushed to their limits during the two-week exercise that mirrors real-life combat scenarios using Chinook and Puma helicopters.
