PETE BOWLES claimed the third leg of Remenham’s Summer Series held at Bowsaw Lake near Odiham with 103lb of carp.
Some were landed on the method feeder with meat but most on the pole at six metres, also with meat.
In second place was Ian Chaplin with 79lb 6oz of carp caught mainly on the method feeder with pellet and in third place was Mark Bowerman with 69lb 6oz of carp caught on the pole at 10 metres with pellet.
At Wood Lane Fishery for the fourth leg, the following week, Bowles was once again victorious with 36lb 12oz consisting of one small carp along with skimmers, roach and perch caught short on the pole with red maggot and worm.
Graham Dodd was second with a similar net of small carp, skimmers and roach caught on the pole with maggot and caster weighing in 32lb and in third place was Mark Bowerman whose six-pellet waggler caught carp and weighed 25lb 8oz.
