?BABES in the Wood? are the parent/carer and baby/toddler sessions run by Highmoor Nursery School. Due to popularity an additional session on Wednesday, 10am until 11.30am, has been added. Originally the group was run on a Monday from 10am until 11.30am and on Thursday 1pm until 2.30pm. A further session was added on a Friday morning, 9.30am until 11am. The Wednesday morning session is now being offered. Babes in the Wood is at Stoke Row Pavilion, off Newlands Lane, Stoke Row, RG9 5PS. It is run by Highmoor Nursery School staff, who are all checked by the DBS. Dates and times of the term time sessions can be found on the Highmoor Nursery website. Activities on offer include soft play and ball pit, Play-Doh, books and a huge number of toys, which are changed regularly. Coffee and tea are available for parents and carers as well as drinks and snacks for the children. Quotes from attendees include: ?This is the nicest group we have ever been to?. This group runs alongside the Nursery School, which operates from Highmoor Memorial Hall. It takes children from age two upwards for a variety of sessions, some fully government-funded. The Babes in the Wood sessions are run with the same ethos as Highmoor Nursery School. Babes in the Wood costs £3.50 per child per session or £5 for two children and no regular commitment is required.
