HENLEY, Shiplake and Sonning are among the top 10 most popular locations for high net worth individuals to buy a second home in the UK — with Henley taking the top spot.
A survey by New World Wealth — a company that provides information on how the international elite spend their money — revealed that nearby Marlow, Bray, Windsor and Cookham are also in the top 10. The result serves to confirm the enduring appeal of the Thames Valley area for people worth more than 10 million US dollars.
Andrew Amolis, the head of research at New World Wealth, said: “Wealthy people like to have a home on or near water. Our list captures their need to be within commuting distance of London, near good schools, Heathrow and fine restaurants.”
