A POP-UP restaurant will return to Henley next year.
Theo Cooper, who organised Chateau Marmot’s two-night residency at the River and Rowing Museum earlier this month, said the sold-out event had proved a success.
About 120 guests enjoyed a surprise five-course tasting menu in the glass-fronted room at the River and Rowing Museum.
The menu was prepared by Ramael Scully, executive chef at the Ottolenghi restaurant group, and Christopher Lyon, from Nopi in Soho.
Many of the ingredients were sourced locally, including vegetables from the Bosley Patch in Swiss Farm, Henley and pork belly from the Chiltern Black Pig Company.
Mr Cooper, a former student at The Henley College who owns the business with his wife, Danielle, said: “I think that people were quite excited about it.
“The chefs are all well-known and work in some of the best restaurants in London so expectations were high but I think we delivered.
“We used local, sustainable food which is what we are all about.
“The River and Rowing Museum is a star in itself as it is such an iconic building in the area.”
Mr Cooper, who has staged pop-up restuarants in London, New York and Melbourne, said the event was one of the business’ best to date.
