CHRISTOPHER Biggins will attend a charity Diwali dinner dance in Henley next month.

The actor and presenter will be the guest of honour at the event, which will be held in the Riverside Pavilion at Phyllis Court Club on Saturday, November 18 from 6.45pm.

The dinner is in aid of the Hope Foundation, which works with street children in India.

Guests will be served a welcome drink and a three-course Indian meal.

Biggins, who is a patron of Hope, will host an auction with a top prize of dinner for a group of friends with the actor and there will be a disco. Guests are encouraged to wear Indian-inspired or colourful attire and the evening will include a welcome drink, a three-course Indian meal and a disco.

Hope UK trustee Shiuli Davis, who lives in Henley, said: “Dress up colourfully for Diwali and give Kolkata’s street children hope.”

Tickets costs £95 and a table of 10 can be purchased for £900. For more information, visit www.thehope

The Hope Foundation was founded in Ireland in 1999 and a UK branch was established in 2007. It works to restore the human rights of children and families living on the streets and in the slums of Kolkata.
