Hero funeral

THE funeral of a war veteran who died aged 103 will take place next Friday.

Dick Charlton, a lifelong Henley resident, passed away in his sleep at the Chilterns Court care centre on May 28, five days before his birthday.

His funeral will take place at St Margaret’s Church in Harpsden at 11am and is open to all.

The family have asked that any donations go to Cancer Research UK and the Royal British Legion.
