DO you have flat feet, plantar fasciitis, heel or Achilles pain, bunions, general foot pain, or knee, hip or back pain?

If your feet are complaining it’s time you responded! The feet are the most ignored part of the body — and yet one of the most important areas.

At Back In Line we not only address your presenting pain but also assess the function of your feet. This area can be one of the main contributors to the pain you are feeling in other areas.

Feet should be particularly checked in children, to see if there is a collapse of the arch, as this can lead to years of ongoing problems further up the skeletal frame. Children do not outgrow flat feet.

A simple example — one of the most common complaints in children is knee pain, particularly after running. When the feet are flat they hit the ground without any spring, pulling on the muscle and tendon attachments in the knees. This severely inflames the knee, causing a lumpy swelling under the knee cap. By supporting the foot with orthotics, manipulating and exercising the feet, this painful condition can be treated very successfully.

We are offering a free initial assessment for new patients to the Back In Line clinic up until January 31. Contact (01491) 579712.
