INSPIRED by the glitz and glamour of Bollywood, Just Jhoom! — which means Just Dance! — is now available in Henley, courtesy of Steph Maxwell, local mum of two and who also runs Dancing Divas and Dudes classes and parties.
Bored of the gym? Want something fun and inspiring? Then Just Jhoom! may be just the thing. Using Indian dance moves, Bollywood music and strengthening yoga-based exercises, the instructor will make sure you get a really good workout without even realising that you are working out.
Since its inception in 2010, Just Jhoom! has received industry accreditation for its instructor training course, trained over 150 instructors to run classes all over the UK and abroad, released a dance-fitness DVD and is regularly featured on Fitness TV and national magazines as one of the UK’s rapidly growing fitness trends.
Classes are fun and energetic and draw on a range of dance styles from classical Indian to bhangra with dashes of hip-hop, jive and jazz. Class are suitable for all fitness levels and age groups,
Steph, who is already a qualified dance teacher, has completed a training course run by Shalini Bhalla and is really excited about introducing Just Jhoom! to Henley.
“Just Jhoom! is a fantastic way of keeping fit,” says Steph. “In fact, with interesting dance routines and plenty of Bollywood style, you don’t even realise that you’re getting a really good workout. You’ll find that the classes are ideal for anyone, male or female, regardless of age.”
“We wish Steph every success with the new Just Jhoom! classes,” comments Shalini. “This is a real opportunity for everyone in the area to have access to fun, vibrant and high quality classes. Participants can be sure that their instructor not only holds qualifications in dance or fitness, but has also attended the first and only accredited Bollywood dance-fitness instructor course in the UK.”
Steph is delighted to be starting classes on Tuesday May 14, 9.30am to 10.30am at the Christ Church Centre, Henley and Wednesday May 15 at 8pm to 9pm at the Henley YMCA.
Classes are £5 pay as you go or you can purchase a loyalty card for £30 and get seven classes.
