RUNNING WILD is a new outdoor exercise class that combines trail running with boot camp style exercises (but without the shouting!).

It takes place in Harpsden Woods on Friday lunchtimes and Wednesday evenings and is aimed at people who enjoy the outdoors, aren’t scared of getting a bit muddy and want to improve their running and general fitness.

Run by personal trainer and keen trail runner Jennifer Hoodless, each session is different.

There may be hills, interval training, instruction on running technique and breathing, strength and conditioning, balance and core strength training and even an occasional bit of map reading.

However the focus is always on good quality movement and how having a strong, flexible body can improve your running and help you avoid injury.

The sessions are for mixed ability and everyone works as hard as they want, however it is recommended that you can run for at least 10 minutes in order to get the most out of it. Don’t worry if you can’t run for this long yet, Jennifer also offers learn-to-run packages.

Jennifer also offers running gait analysis and is a barefoot running instructor.

Find out more about these sessions by visiting the website www.running-wild.info or alternatively call Jennifer on 07720 526344.
