AFTER four consecutive years of running the diploma in holistic massage, Tonic Massage Academy is proud to announce the launch of their sports and remedial diploma.
Your learning will be supported by a team of highly-experienced tutors and guest speakers. This course kicks off in February 2014. Enrolments will be open from this September.
* Major Sporting Events
The rigorous training has a strong remedial element and allows you to treat common injuries such as sprains and strains from long working hours or from everyday misuse as well as those in the sports arena.
During the course you will have an opportunity to practise massage skills by working at the 2014 Virgin London Marathon and Henley’s own iron man triathlon, Challenge Henley.
Theoretical elements will deepen your understanding of the musculoskeletal system so that you can confidently apply advanced remedial and deep tissue techniques. You will be able to provide pre- and post-event treatments in addition to assisting in rehabilitation after injury.
* Taster Days
Tonic Massage Academy runs one-day workshops for beginners and CPD workshops for qualified therapists. See our website for forthcoming dates at www.tonicmassage.co.uk
* Graduate Massage Clinics
Tonic Massage Academy would like more people to experience the benefits behind good therapeutic massage. The aims of these clinics are four-fold: to make massage more accessible to everyone, help newly qualified therapists to network with other therapists and clients, keep their practical skills fresh, and to promote the academy and the qualifications and courses it provides. Four or five therapists will share the large studio space whilst massaging, which will help keep the sessions at reduced rates.
