Bored of the gym? Want something fun and inspiring? Then Just Jhoom! may be just the thing! Just Jhoom! means just dance, and using Indian dance moves, Bollywood music and strengthening yoga-based exercises, Steph will make sure you get a really good workout — without even realising that you are working out.
Classes are fun and energetic and draw on a range of dance styles from classical Indian to Bhangra with dashes of hip-hop, jive and jazz. Class are suitable for all fitness levels and age groups.
Steph, a qualified dance teacher, has completed the Bronze training and Junior Jhoom! training courses run by Shalini Bhalla and is really excited about introducing Just Jhoom! and Junior Jhoom! to Henley.
“Just Jhoom! is a fantastic way of keeping fit,” says Steph. “In fact, with interesting dance routines and plenty of Bollywood style, you don’t even realise that you’re getting a really good workout. You’ll find that the classes are ideal for anyone, male or female, regardless of age.
“This is a real opportunity for everyone in the area to have access to fun, vibrant and high-quality classes. Participants can be sure that their instructor not only holds qualifications in dance or fitness, but has also attended the first and only accredited Bollywood dance-fitness instructor course in the UK.”
Steph is running classes for adults on Tuesday mornings from 9.30am to 10.30am at the Christ Church Centre, Henley and Wednesday evenings from 8pm to 9pm at the Henley YMCA.
There will be a free taster class next Tuesday, September 17 at the Christ Church Centre from 10am to 10.30am to see what Just Jhoom! is all about and try a couple of the high-energy and fun routines.
She is also launching Junior Jhoom! for children aged five to 10 years with a free taster class on Friday, September 13 at the YMCA from 5pm to 5.40pm.
