TONIC Massage Academy is proud to announce the launch of its professional sports and remedial massage diploma. Your learning will be supported by a team of highly-experienced tutors and guest speakers. The training venue is centrally located right in the heart of Henley town centre.

Major sporting events involves rigorous training, and this course has a strong remedial element allowing you to treat common injuries such as sprains and strains from long working hours or from everyday misuse as well as those in the sports arena. During the course you will have an opportunity to practise massage skills by working at 2014 Virgin London Marathon and Henley’s half marathon and others.

Theoretical elements will deepen your understanding of the musculoskeletal system so that you can confidently apply advanced remedial techniques such as myofascial unwinding and trigger point therapy. You will be able to provide pre/post event treatments in addition to assisting in rehabilitation after injury.

This course starts in February 2014. Class size is kept to a maximum of 10 for optimal teaching and learning.

Tonic Massages also runs one-day “taster” workshops at beginners and advanced level for qualified manual therapists, exercise and fitness instructors such as myofascial release, soft tissue release and muscle energy techniques.
