NAOMI Jadwat, a Bangor University-trained mindfulness teacher, is teaching two mindfulness courses in Henley.

The first course will start in September and the second in January 2016. The courses will run for two hours each Monday from 1pm to 3pm over six weeks.

Mindfulness can provide tools to break this cycle by helping become aware of the world around you, and the world within you. Of how you are feeling, what you are thinking, and how your body is coping.

We can learn how to stop, check in and breathe before we move on and react to whatever is difficult around us.

We can learn to notice the good things that are in our life, often forgotten and unnoticed.

Studies are continually showing us that even after a few weeks of mindfulness practice, stress and anxiety levels are reduced, concentration improves and the ability to be calm and reflective increases.

The only way to benefit from mindfulness is by doing it and one of the best ways to learn and embed mindful practice is by starting with a course.

During the six-week Introduction to Mindfulness course you will be guided in the three formal meditation practices and will be given CDs (or a USB memory stick) and workbooks to help you.

Meditating in a group is a supportive and safe way to begin the mindfulness experience.

If you are interested in mindfulness or attending the next group please email naomi.jadwat@yahoo.co.uk or call me on 07979 600515.
