NAOMI Jadwat, a Bangor University-trained Mindfulness teacher, has been teaching mindfulness courses in Henley for the past two years.
The courses are small in size, friendly and available to everyone — those with experience and complete beginners.
The next course will start on April 18, and run for six weeks every Monday from 1pm to 3pm. Spaces are limited, so book as soon as you can.
In this busy world we never stop thinking, worrying, planning, remembering, doing — sometimes so much so that we are not aware of where we are going or what we are doing or even saying.
Mindfulness can provide tools to break this cycle by helping you become aware of the world around you, and the world within you — of how you are feeling, what you are thinking, and how your body is coping.
We can learn how to stop, check in and breathe before we move on and react to whatever is difficult around us. We can learn to notice the good things that are in our life — often forgotten and unnoticed.
During the six-week Introduction to Mindfulness course you will be guided in the three formal meditation practices and will be given CDs (or a USB memory stick) and workbooks to help you. Meditating in a group is a supportive and safe way to begin the mindfulness experience.
If you are interested in mindfulness or attending the next group please email naomi.jadwat@yahoo.co.uk or call me on 07979 600515.
