CHILDREN in Wargrave could be prioritised for school places based on distance amid admission policy changes.
Wokingham Borough Council has completed a consultation on replacing the catchment areas with a distance-based model, giving priority to children who live nearest to the school, removing historic catchment boundaries.
Other proposed changes include removing the medical and social needs criteria and prioritising children of school staff employed for more than two years.
If approved, the policy would be introduced for the 2027 and 2028 academic year.
