A FOOTPATH in Nettlebed is to be closed for about three weeks so low voltage cable works can be carried out safely.

The route stretches from Lion Meadow to Watlington Street and will be closed 24 hours a day from January 25 to February 16.

Oxfordshire County Council, the highways authority, has said there will be exemptions for emergency services and those who live within the closed section of the footpath.

Meanwhile, “various roads” in Harpsden Bottom are to be resurfaced from January 5 to February 3.

Drainage works will be carried out at the same time.

A diversion will be in place and alternative routes will be signed locally.
