THE Mayor of Henley rode more than 60 miles on the back of a motorcycle to deliver Christmas presents to sick children. Lorraine Hillier sat behind fellow town councillor David Eggleton, who was dressed as Santa, as they travelled to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford on his Triumph Bonneville. They were followed on bikes by Cllr Eggleton’s friends Dave Urwin, Mike Prior and Peter Clark.

Home Secretary Theresa May officially opened a Henley public relations and communications firm’s new offices. The Henley Group has moved from the Newtown industrial estate to Market House in the Greys Road car park so that it can expand. Mrs May, who is MP for Maidenhead, unveiled a plaque.
