MANY window companies would advise you to replace your old windows with new but that doesn’t have to be the case. Sash Window Rescue Ltd specialises in repairing your old wherever possible and installing a draught-proofing system as standard.
Sash Window Rescue’s draught-sealing and overhaul service is designed to bring new life to any window and will dramatically improve window performance at a fraction of the cost of replacement, while retaining the aesthetic character and charm of your home.
Managing director Nigel Spiers said: “We started the company in 2011 with a view to help customers repair, draught-proof and refurbish their existing sash and timber windows, but with the current market trend and economic climate it wasn’t long before we saw a demand for replacement and double glazed sash windows.
“We pride ourselves in providing a friendly and professional service, and by running the administrative side of our business from home, we can provide cost effective prices too.”
Their services include the following:
Sash window and casement draught proofing
If the sashes and main boxes (frames) are in good condition they remove the sashes and replace all cords, parting and staff beads, replacing them with high-performance draught-proof nylon pile that is machined and bonded into the timber.
Sash window and casement replacement
They replace the whole of the existing window including architraves and sills, retaining period details to preserve the character of the windows, incorporate high-performance nylon pile weather seals to the parting and stop beads to ensure a draught- and dust-free window.
Sash window and casement double glazing
They also offer double-glazed units which fit into the existing system without the need to replace the whole unit, making your windows even quieter and warmer.
All double glazing units comply with local building control regulations and are made of low E warm edge spacer bar and Argon gas-filled.
