RESIDENTS of Wargrave have been invited to enter a competition for best front garden.

The Hare Hatch Sheeplands garden centre in Bath Road is organising the contest in conjunction with Twyford in Bloom.

It is open to all residents with a RG10 postcode but entrants must have had no professional help with their garden.

All gardens will be inspected by a judging panel and the winner will receive a £100 voucher to spend at Sheeplands, with for £75 and £50 vouchers for the runners-up.

There will also be special awards including best basket or planter, best use of small space or a feature that impresses the judges. All entrants will be given free seeds by the garden centre.

Owner Rob Scott said: “We are always happy to be involved with community activities. Working alongside the Twyford in Bloom organisers seemed a perfect way to add a little colour and to reward those people who help to make our area such a pleasant place in which to live.”

Entry forms are available at the garden centre or online until June 1 at www.harehatchsheeplands.co.uk

Judging will begin on June 15.
