TOURING theatre comany Chapterhouse is bringing two productions to Mapledurham House this summer.
The company presents Twelfth Night, Shakespeare’s comic tale of shipwrecks, sea storms and mistaken identity, on Wednesday July 17.
And on Thursday July 18, audiences are invited to bring a picnic and their detective skills for Sherlock Holmes and the Hound Of The Baskervilles.
Chapterhouse, which promises “magical theatre in magical surroundings” has been touring the UK and Ireland for more than a decade, bringing to life some of literature’s best loved classics in outdoor performances that are suitable fun for all the family. This summer’s tour covers more than 100 prestigious venues including Chatsworth House and Canary Wharf.

three choirs are joining forces for their summer concert at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts, Maidenhead on Sunday (June 23).
Jewel Tones is a choir for girls between the ages of 10 and 19, which was started in 2012, and Charvil Voices is a ladies’ choir. Both are directed by Suzanne Newman and accompanied by Mary Daniels.
Joining them will be the White Waltham C of E Academy Choir, directed by Pippa Eden.
The concert will include folk songs, pop numbers and pieces from musical theatre.Four solo items a piano solo, a flute solo and two vocal solos will also be performed.
