WELL-KNOWN entertainer Anita Harris will be performing at the Kenton Theatre in November, with her touring show Curtain Up! Light The Lights!
The show tells the story of her life through songs, music, chat, humour and dance. There is also a multimedia element to the show, including clips from some of her stage and screen performances, dramatic lighting and special effects.
Anita will bring all the glitz and glamour of old-school classic entertainment and will be accompanied on stage by a trio of musicians.
Her career as an entertainer has spanned more than 50 years. She started as a cabaret artist in Las Vegas and went on to star in Cats and Peter Pan in the West End. She also appeared as Nurse Clarke, alongside Sid James, in Carry On Doctor. Anita has had hit records in the UK pop charts, worked with Morecambe and Wise, Tommy Cooper and Harry Secombe and featured in seven Royal Command Performances.
