A CHILLING adaptation of the Snow Queen has arrived in Henley this week.
Acorn Music Theatre is behind the dark production at the Kenton Theatre, featuring young performers from the area.
An evil demon with a magic mirror, ravens, fierce robbers, frozen souls and fearless fighters, lead the audience through a frozen domain, where good battles evil, in the ice palace of the Snow Queen.
This is Acorn’s first big production at the Kenton Theatre since Tyger, Tyger in 2007. Although regular performers at the theatre, with both the youth and drama festivals, Acorn is better known for its open air, promenade performances.
The dynamic direction of Gail Rosier, combined with the support of the artistic talents of Andy Crowdy, Megan Henwood, Jackie Oates and the circus talents of Alice Ellerby in rehearsal, result in a truly magical production.
Snow Queen runs until Thursday, January 11. Tickets are now available from the Kenton Theatre box office on (01491) 575698 or online at www.kentontheatre.co.uk
