THE Henley Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society is holding a playwriting competition.
Drawing inspiration from the work of Anton Chekhov, Samuel Beckett, Harold Pinter, Tom Stoppard and others, the challenge is to write a play of just one act.
The only rules are that the running time should be at least 25 minutes but no more than 40, while the number of characters should be at least two but no more than four.
The winning entry will be performed as part of the Henley Drama Festival in May, and in the HAODS Studio in New Street.
To enter, email your script to hunting311@aol.com before Saturday, October 31. The winner will be notified by the end of November.
