ACTOR Brian Blessed will star in a one man show at The Mill theatre in Sonning.

An Evening with Brian Blessed will come to the riverside theatre on Sunday, January 22 with all proceeds being donated to the venue.

Blessed will take questions on his distinguished and varied career which has covered film, TV and theatre.

His television appearances have included I Claudius, Z Cars and The Three Musketeers, while his film credits include Henry V, Trojan Women, Star Wars and Flash Gordon.

He is a seasoned West End performer and for many years has been a figure in the Royal National Theatre and Royal Shakespeare Company.

Blessed is currently directing Agatha Christie’s classic murder mystery The Hollow at The Mill, with performances until September 3.

He describes The Hollow as a “tremendous” whodunnit and says it is his favourite work by Christie. The cast includes his wife Hildegard Neil and daughter Rosalind Blessed.

Tickets for Blessed’s one man show cost £80 which includes a two-course meal.
