HAILED as “Britain’s leading musical satirist” by the Times, Mitch Benn is bringing his critically acclaimed show to the Kenton Theatre tomorrow night (Saturday).
Don’t Believe a Word starts at 7.30pm at the New Street venue and Mitch, who is a regular contributor to BBC Radio 4’s The Now Show, explains the show’s basic premise as follows.
“I’m a sceptic,” he says. “But don’t take my word for it. Or indeed anybody’s. For anything...”
The show is one that aims to make people laugh a lot and think a bit as Mitch debunks myths, exposes nonsense and grapples with the very nature of knowledge itself — with amusing consequences and of course a few songs along the way.
Tickets are £15, including a £1 restoration levy. To book, call the box office on (01491) 575698 or visit the website www.kentontheatre.co.uk
