A new flexible workspace providing an environment for remote workers and freelancers has opened in Woodcote.

The Woodcote Work Hub offers a space for workers seeking a professional place to work and hold business meetings close to home.

Situated on the first floor, the hub is “designed to support modern working patterns” and features two workstations, printing facilities, high-speed broadband and a breakout area, alongside coffee and tea-making facilities.

The space can be booked by the hour, half, full or across multiple days.

The project builds upon efforts to modernise the community centre, which has served residents since the Old Schoolhouse was restored as a community facility in 1993.

The hub looks to provide an alternative workspace which encourages collaboration, community connection and productivity.

Karen Woolley, who chairs the community centre, said: “The new hub reflects the evolving needs of the village: As more people adopt flexible and remote working, having access to a professional workspace within the community is increasingly important.

“The new Work Hub provides a welcoming environment where people can work productively while staying connected to the local community.”

The hub looks to benefit residents across the Woodcote area and surrounding villages by offering an alternative to city-centre co-working spaces and daily commutes.
