Claires Court bounce back in style as rugby sides shine across the board

Claires Court School have begun the new season with a series of impressive results across the various age groups, and one agonising defeat in the Vase.

The first XV showed remarkable character to bounce back from a heartbreaking 19-20 loss to Windsor Boys School in the first round of the Vase competition as they secured a commanding 44-10 league victory.

They followed that up with a massive 73-17 win over Great Marlow in the first round of the Bowl.

Ben Savage ran in four tries while new addition Johnny Goss displayed his array of skills in an impressive performance at fly half, having joined the school in September.

This success has been replicated by the younger teams who have all advanced in their respective national cup competitions.

The U16s secured a thrilling 43-31 win over Windsor Boys in the first round of the School Sports Magazine National Cup.

After an encouraging start, Claires Court allowed Windsor back into the game before Jack Hinchley weaved his way through their backline and confirmed victory with a brilliant individual try.

The U15s triumphed over Dr Challoner's with a 29-12 victory in the National Vase and the U14s completed a fine set of victories with a dominant 52-12 success against Windsor Boys in their first-round match. An impressive six-try performance from Tommy Hall certainly caught the eye.

This strong start across the age groups certainly bodes well for the rest of the season at Claires Court.
