Police are appealing for witnesses following a hit and run in Wraysbury.

A small black car was involved in a collision with a man in his forties who was walking his dog at the junction of Welly Road and Welley Avenue at around 10.10pm on October 17.

The vehicle was travelling northbound on Welley Road towards Datchet Road when it was involved in the collision and did not stop at the scene.

The vehicle then turned around on Welley Avenue before heading southbound towards Wraysbury.

The victim sustained serious injuries and required hospital treatment, but has since been discharged.

The only available descriptions provided by the police at this time are that the driver and front passenger of the car were Asian males.

Moreover, there was 'possibly an Indian flag hanging from the rear-view mirror of the car'.

Investigating officer PC Nicole Maynard said: “We are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the collision or the black vehicle and its occupants either at the time or immediately afterwards.

“If you were driving around this area during this time or after and may have dash cam footage, please contact us. If you live locally and have video doorbell or CCTV footage, please come forward.

“If you have any information or footage, please make a report online or by calling 101, quoting reference 43250531753.

“Alternatively, for 100% anonymity, you can also call the independent charity, Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111 or report via its website.”
