Veteran at art show

AN RAF veteran is to take part in a Christmas art show.

Kevin Emmerson, from Benson, will join 20 other local artists at Joyous, which will be held at 21 St Martin’s Street, Wallingford, from December 2 to 4, 10am to 4pm daily.

He paints large, abstract works in acrylic and detailed drawings of helicopters in flight.

He said: “I am inspired by the colour and beauty of everyday sights. My work creates a calming sense of space and freedom, which brings joy to owners.”

Mr Emmerson was in the army and the Marines and served in the Gulf and Northern Ireland, among other places, before becoming a helicopter instructor at RAF Benson.
