An evening of timeless Qawwali music comes to Maidenhead

An internationally acclaimed UK-based ensemble of 9th-generation qawwals Raag Qawwali Group comes to Norden Farm Centre for the Arts on Saturday 1 November at 8pm.

Raag Qawwali Group will deliver an electrifying performance rooted in the spiritual tradition of Sufi Qawwali.

Inspired by legends like Ustad Nustrat Fateh Ali Khan, their music blends powerful vocals, harmonium and table to create a deeply moving experience.

Honouring their ancestral lineage, the group brings authenticity and passion to every stage, capturing the soul of devotional music.

The brothers are the grandsons of the classical legend Ustad Latafat Hussain Khan and the 8th generation of classical musicians and qawwals.

Their grandfather was teacher to many, including the famous Sabri Brothers Qawwal.

Debuting in 2018, Raag Qawwali Group have featured on BBC News, BBC Asia, Asiana TV and many other renowned platforms in the UK and Europe.

They have spent many years learning and perfecting their craft under the guidance of their teachers.

Performing on stage from a very young age, they have travelled across many countries showcasing their talent.

Having performed across the UK, Raag Qawwali Group invites audiences to experience the timeless beauty, energy and unity of Qawwali in its truest form.
