Pilot killed

A PILOT was killed when his light aircraft crashed in Aston Rowant Nature Reserve, near Watlington.

The plane had taken off from Turweston Aerodrome in north Buckinghamshire before the accident at 2.35pm on Sunday.

Thames Valley Police said the pilot, a man in his sixties, was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation into the cause of the crash has begun.
