Lit up: the term drew to a close at Caversham Preparatory School with the annual Christingle service held in the chapel at Queen Anne’s School nearby. Pupils, teachers, parents and famillies attended the service, which included readings, carols and instrumental pieces by the children. It concluded with the lighting of the Christingles. A closing collection raised £119.11 for the Children’s Society. Headtacher Jacqueline Lawson said: “The Christingle service is a special moment when we can all gather together before we go our separate ways for the holiday.”
