World Book Day: Heights Primary School

World Book Day: Heights Primary School

Children and staff dressed up as their favourite literary figures.

Harry Potter characters proved very popular, as were perennial favourites Alice in Wonderland and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. There were three Willy Wonkas and an Oompa Loompa.

Headteacher Karen Edwards said: “As ever, we had enormous fun on World Book Day. It’s a day to celebrate the joy of reading, and dressing up as your favourite literary character literally brings books to life. The children and staff alike made a superb show of it and we all really enjoyed their creative costumes. Roll on next year!”
