Man jailed for attacks

A MAN from Caversham has been jailed after attacking two men in 2023 and 2024.

Tombewani Tombe, 39, from Honey Meadow Close, was given an extended sentence of 13 years with five years on licence at Reading Crown Court on Thursday last week.

He had pleaded guilty to one count of GBH and was found guilty of GBH with intent on May 15.

Tombe had been at the Red Cow pub in Caversham on April 8, 2023, when he got into an argument.

He waited for the victim to leave the pub before punching him twice in the face, causing him to fall.

He continued to kick the man before members of the public intervened.

On October 23, 2024, Tombe attacked another man with a Stanley knife in Nire Road, Caversham.
