Pupils race pigs and throw snowballs at Christmas fair

CHILDREN threw snowballs and raced toy pigs at the Christmas fair held at Trinity Primary School in Henley on Friday.

The year groups took turns throughout the day to visit the hall where there were stalls. including “snow throw”, where they had to get a fake snowball into a hole, and “racing pigs in blankets” which involved placing wind-up plastic pigs on a mini race track.

There was also a cake sale, toy stalls and reindeer face-painting.

Organiser Bekki Wedd said: “Lots of parents helped to put this together, which made it a great experience. The kids all had a really really fun time and there were lots of smiles, which is what you want.”

Headteacher Jo Evans said: “The event was lovely. The children were enthusiastic and we had so much support from parents.

“We have a very very active Friends of Trinity group and we rely on their fundraising.”
