DID you know that an Oxfordshire charity, founded in 1437, is still helping young people in our part of the world today?
The Ewelme Exhibition Endowment was set up with funds from Geoffrey Chaucer’s granddaughter nearly 600 years ago to support the education of young people in Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and parts of Wiltshire and Hampshire.
Thanks to careful management, it is still giving out awards today.
Educational establishments are invited to apply for financial help towards improving opportunities for disadvantaged young people.
This could be for equipment, specialist tuition, outside visits or enrichment in sports, music or the arts. Individuals can also apply for grants to support their education. Eligibility criteria apply.
The charity has just opened up for applications for grants for the new school year 2024/5.
Find out if you or your organisation/school might be eligible and how to apply by emailing the awards manager at eee.awards
