Green gifts

PUPILS from Badgemore Primary School visited the Henley 60s+ Social Club. The year 6 children presented members with homemade chocolate gifts in homemade wrapping to celebrate spring as part of the school’s green initiative. Amanda Hopkins, head of the school’s green team, explained: “The children understand why we must cut down on plastic. They are beginning to think about environmental issues.” As part of the initiative, pupils wrote to and received positive responses from Cadbury’s and Waitrose. The children also hold plastic-free Tuesdays.
