New councillor

A FORMER school governor has joined Charvil Parish Council.

Mark A’Bear, of The Hawthorns, was co-opted at its full meeting. He has lived in the village for more than 25 years and received an MBE in 2014 for his work in education.

Mr A’Bear, who has three daughters and lives with his wife, Margaret, regularly runs charity quiz evenings at the village hall.
