CHILDREN at Checkendon Pre-School celebrated World Book Day by dressing up as their favourite story characters.
It welcomed 'Stick Man', two Stormtroopers, Dennis the Menace, a cowboy, Cinderella, Spiderman, Optimus Prime and the witch from Room on The Broom.
Supervisor Nina Hollier said: "We enjoyed a day of stories, songs and dressing up as the children listened to their chosen books in the form of group story times.
“They shared their love of a good book with each other and then made up their own stories using their vivid imaginations!
“An excellent day was enjoyed by us all to enhance and bring alive a world of literacy.”
