AN exciting new children’s Christmas festival opens this year at Wellington Country Park in Riseley.
The Little Welly is an experience created for children aged three to 12 and their families, and features a wide range of entertainment, shows and activities for the whole family to enjoy. Father Christmas will be there and there will be an ice rink, but dominating the site will be the five Big Top tents each with their own style of entertainment.
The Show Tent headliner is CBBC’s Fran Scott. In the Skills Tent there will be football coaching with Reading FC, circus skills, drumming workshops and dance lessons.
The Activity Tent is the place for the penalty shoot-out, giant inflatables and den building, and in the Arts and Crafts Tent children can write a letter to Santa, make decorations and enjoy the graffiti wall. There is also a Chill Out Tent for relaxing, where you can watch cartoons and listen to the storyteller.
Finally, you can refuel with some well-earned refreshments in the Catering Tent, while browsing the market stalls, trying out the treasure hunt, exploring the Enchanted Forest and many more activities.
The Little Welly Christmas festival takes place from Saturday, December 21 to Monday, December 23 from 10am to 4pm at Wellington Country Park.
