New church service

09:30AM, Monday 13 October 2025

A NEW evening service will take place at Henley Baptist Church from next Sunday.

It will be held in the d:two centre from 6.30pm and will run every other Sunday until December 14.

The church is responding to national surveys showing an increase in church attendance, particularly among young adults.

The informal service will include contemporary worship songs, a short talk and opportunities for prayer and discussion.

Jeremy Bray, pastor of the church, said: “Our Sunday mornings are very full and we want to give more people an opportunity to worship. Everyone is welcome to join us.

“We hope the meeting will give people the chance to explore faith for the first time or reconnect if they have got out of the habit of attending a church meeting.”

The church is also starting an Alpha course from November 13. This includes a meal, thought-provoking video and time for questions. For more information, email jeremyb@dtwo.co.uk
