IF you haven’t seen all or indeed any of last weekend’s Oscar winners, now’s your chance to put that right.
The Henley Regal Picturehouse is showing five of the big-hitters from last Sunday, starting with the biggest of the lot in Oppenheimer (15), the biopic of the creator of the atomic bomb.
The film scooped seven Oscars, with best picture, best director for Christopher Nolan and best actor for Cillian Murphy’s performance in the title role.
It also won best supporting actor (Robert Downey Jr), best cinematography, best editing and best score.
Emma Stone took the best actress Oscar for her role as Bella Baxter in Poor Things (18), Yorgos Lanthimos’s flamboyant adults-only take on the Frankenstein theme.
The movie also won Oscars for its hair and makeup and costume design.
The best international picture gong went to The Zone of Interest (12A), the first British film to receive it. The story of the genteel home life of an Auschwitz prison guard living in the shadow of the notorious death camp also won best sound.
Its star Sandra Huller also took the lead in another winner, Anatomy of a Fall (15), in which she plays a woman accused of murdering her husband, a role specially written for her.
This film took the best original screenplay Oscar.
Best supporting actress went to Da’Vine Joy Randolph for her role as a school cook who lost her only son on the Vietnam War in the boarding school comedy drama The Holdovers (15).
Meanwhile, Wicked Little Letters, Dune: Part Two and Vindication Swim are all continuing.
