A NEW short film shot in Henley and Aston is to be launched at a private screening this month ahead of the festival season.

Anniversary Waltz, a collaboration between scriptwriter Bridget Fraser and director Jo Southwell focuses on the age-old question of “Is this a lovers’ tiff or the end of a marriage?”

Actor Peter Dean, famous as Peter Beale in EastEnders, played the leading role.

“It’s always a bonus to attract a ‘name’,” said Ms Southwell. “We had a great crew and they have all worked hard to make Anniversary Waltz into the beautiful, cinematic film I had in mind from the outset.”

Ms Fraser intends to launch the film on to the short film awards and festival circuit in the new year. She said: “One of the rules of festivals is that films must not have had a public screening before. As it’s a local production I’d love to share it, but Henley audiences must wait a bit longer.”
